Most festivals don't cater for the next generation of music fans at all. We at Alt-Fest however think that's a great shame. So not only do children 12 and under get in for free but we're also going to give them a whole area of their own. Whether they're babies, toddlers, tiddlers or older ones there'll be plenty of entertainment and activities to keep them happy and wear them out.
You can expect all the usual array of face painting, magicians, and all those other things you just know will put a smile on a child's face. Expect plenty of interactive fun and games too. There's even going to be a storytelling corner! How cool is that?
There'll be a very special non alcoholic bar serving squashes, fresh juices and mocktails. The Kindred café will also be located here with a selection of cakes, cans of drink and tea and coffee.
Many of the Alt-Fest team are parents so it was essential to us to make our festival as welcoming as possible children no matter how young. They are after all our future.
