ALT-FEST, A TRIBAL GATHERING
Alt-Fest is a large festival licensed for up to 20,000 people and is the largest festival of its type anywhere in the world. It's the first truly multi-genre all embracing outdoor Alternative festival, a uniting of all the Alt tribes, lifestyles and subcultures.
Alt-Fest has 6 stages, each loosely genre specific, as well as a dedicated Circus Big-Top with all day Circus and theatre shows. Additionally there is a dedicated and separate children's area with activities and workshops for all ages of children. Each stage and area is in its own dedicated themed setting within the main arena which also spreads out into the woodland.

ARTS & CULTURE
Art and theming is fully incorporated into the Alt-Fest festival site with themed woodland walks, sculpture and art installations throughout the site. Alt-Fest isn't simply another music festival its an immersive and interactive experience. Of course if music is your thing you certainly will NOT be disappointed with 6 stages to choose from.
We like to consider Alt-Fest as essentially several boutique festivals under one metaphoric roof.... wander between zones and stages at your leisure OR stay in one dedicated area and listen to your favourite genre of music for the entire weekend. So if you don't like metal and like Industrial as an example you can stay entirely away from metal and stay in the Industrial big top all weekend if you like or vice versa....

Our delightful greenfield festival site is less than a 1 hour drive from Birmingham and less than 90 minutes by car from central London (55 minutes by train). More detailed information on our location and detailed travel information can be found HERE.
Alt-Fest will boast 5 days of camping and 3 days of live music, with over 180 bands spread over 7 festival zones. As well as dedicated Metal, Gothic, Industrial and Steampunk stages, Alt-Fest will host an eclectic Main Stage line-up that will be topped by the MASSIVE headline acts that YOU our Alt-Festers chose.
If you would prefer to not camp as we know many of you would rather stay in local accommodation there is a good selection of Hotels and Bed and Breakfast accomodation either in Kettering, 5-10 minutes away by taxi or close to the festival site. We will also have shuttle buses from the main hotels and Kettering train station transporting Alt-Festers from kettering to the festival site. We also have day parking for day ticket holders and those that would prefer to drive to the festival site each day.

Not bothered about the music? You've come to the right place. Alt-Fest will also have a full size Circus Big Top, with all day circus, side shows, burlesque and theatre.
Plus art, workshops, activities and, many, many attractions including a dedicated children's zone - kids 12 and under are also free at Alt-Fest! Watch the bands; loose yourself in the enchanted (and themed) woodland; camp on site or stay in local accommodation; and with a massive shopping village as well there will always be something amazing for you to see and do at Alt-Fest!
Best of all is all of this is decided by you. You asked and we deliver. You wanted the car parks to be closer to the campsites, you've got it. You wanted more (and nicer) toilets on site, you've got it. You want to have a say what activities we have onsite for children over the weekend, let us know and we'll book them for you and the young ones.

Alt-Fest is a cooperative, employing a team of music industry professionals working with the organisers to deliver the world's largest Alternative event ever held.
The visionaries
The facilitators and people who had the initial idea for Alt-Fest and started it are d.Void and Missy. A husband and wife team who are and have been successfully promoting Alt events, booking bands and running clubs for over 10 years and also the couple behind the infamous and very successful Club AntiChrist, the largest and longest running Alternative clubbing event in Europe.
Site and project management

Our site production and build (stages, toilets, lighting etc) is being managed by The SouthWestGroup, who run 9 of the stages at Glastonbury, as well as building and/or managing all things production at around 25 other festivals annually.
